MARTA Service Modifications 

MARTA has implemented operational adjustments to protect the health and wellness of employees as they continue providing essential transit service during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, MARTA has made service plan changes to bus and rail operations to address the dramatic ridership and revenue decline seen in the wake of this national health crisis. We will continue to update this page with changes as they occur.

Current Bus Routes

SERVICE CHANGES EFFECTIVE SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2020 

  • Route 188 – Oakley Industrial Circulator
    Schedule change to increase service frequency.

Updated maps & schedules will be added to itsmarta.com and the On-The-Go app on 10/24. MARTA continues to monitor ridership demand and will work to restore more routes as capacity allows.

  • MARTA continues to use all available buses on a limited number of routes in order to meet ridership demand while providing enough capacity for safe social distancing.
  • To prioritize essential transit service, MARTA is currently operating bus service on the routes listed below.

Changes to Bus Service

The following changes to bus service are in effect as of September 26, 2020

Route Adjustments:

  • Route 82 – Camp Creek / South Fulton Parkway – Routing into the Georgia Department of Revenue has been discontinued. Instead, passengers may access Route 82 at the bus stops located on Welcome All Road in front of the office building.

  • Route 124 – Pleasantdale Road – Service on Main Street in downtown Tucker has been discontinued. Instead, Route 124 will operate eastbound via Chamblee-Tucker Road, Fellowship Road and Lawrenceville Highway. Westbound routing is unaffected by this change. Schedule Adjustments

  • Scheduled bus service has been increased on multiple routes to accommodate ridership demand and provide capacity for social distancing.

Changes to Rail Service   

Weekday rail service is operating on a modified Sunday schedule, beginning service at 5:00am, with trains arriving at stations approximately every 20 minutes. 

  • All Red and Gold Line trains will travel to the Airport from the start of service until 9 pm.
  • After 9 pm, all Gold Line trains will continue to travel to the Airport; Red Line trains will only operate between North Springs and Lindbergh.
  • Green Line trains will operate between Bankhead and King Memorial until 9 pm daily.

Changes to Streetcar Service 

Streetcar service will run on a Sunday schedule for weekday and weekend service.

Changes to Public Restroom Availability 

  • As of August 26, 2020, Restrooms are available at Arts Center, Avondale, Bankhead, College Park, Decatur, Doraville, Five Points, H.E. Holmes, Indian Creek, Kensington, Lindbergh, Midtown, North Avenue, North Springs, Peachtree Center, and West End.
