MARTA TO CONDUCT TRACK REPLACEMENT WORK AT AIRPORT STATION

ATLANTA – The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) has renewed its focus on Service, Experience, and Expansion, or SEE. Beginning next month, MARTA will conduct track replacement work near Airport rail station and customers will SEE a safer rail system, fewer delays, and an improved ride. 

Track replacement work is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. on the following dates:

Wednesday, Oct. 4

Thursday, Oct. 5

Friday, Oct. 6

Wednesday, Oct. 11

Thursday, Oct. 12

Friday, Oct. 13

Friday, Oct. 27

Friday, Nov. 3

Customers traveling from the airport to Buckhead, Medical Center, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, or North Springs Stations after 7:00 p.m. will need to transfer to the Red Line at Lindbergh Center Station. 

MARTA is investing approximately $225 million in State of Good Repair work on its heavy rail lines. The Track Replacement Program is a multi-year effort to replace track and switches throughout the rail system.
